The big move

We have been in Avon Lake (Ohio) for 2 weeks now. So far we love it!!!!! It was quite the process getting here. It started out with our car being shipped 2 weeks before we actually moved. We got our house in Seattle packed up and moved out(and new people moved in) but we were still there........homeless.......with no way to get anywhere or do anything. Our good friend Craig shared his house with us for our last few nights in Bonney Lake while another friend offered up her car. We have great friends!!!!!!!!Tuesday morning August 14th we hopped on a flight to Cleveland and 5 hours later we had made it safely to our new home. (actually a hotel for the first night)We are really lucky that we have such great kids that are so easy to travel with. We were lucky enough to be able to close on our new house before we actually left Seattle so it was ready and waiting for us to move in Wednesday morning. (one of our cars made if before we did so it was waiting also). We got to our new house where we planned on staying from Wed-Sat with nothing but the few blankets we brought with us and our clothes. Well guess what, we got a call that our moving truck would not be there until Monday!!!!Let's just say we had a lot of extra time to get our new carpet in and some painting done. My poor mom who came to help us clean and unpack had to sleep on an air mattress for almost a week!!! Oh ya and guess what else the truck that was bringing our other car broke down so we got that 2 days late.

All is well now!!! We are all moved in still putting things away but most of it is done. Kids have made some great friends already and they started school yesterday so we are getting off to a pretty good start!!! We now have people to miss and love in Utah and Washington!!!
