My Latest Project

Something you might not know about me is I love....love....love....the old kindof countrish distressed looking things!!!!I love my new house but was so sad that only few of the countrish items I have to deorate with will acutally work with the decor of the rest of the house and to really make it the way I would really love it to be, would require a lot of "revamping" (lucky for B because he doesn't love these things as much as I do).

One of the things I love are the signs that you see pretty much everywhere these days, you know the ones with quotes or other random words on them.
For Christmas the past few years I have made little hanging signs for the kids teachers with their names on them that they could hang in their classrooms and the kids asked if we could make them again this year. Well, I couldn't find the kind of wood that I have used in the past so I had to come up with a new idea...so here it is!


I think they turned out ok but the problem I always have is the letters start out straight and even but by the time I am finished, they are kindof off center and un-even and, I had a hard time with the distressing part on these ones. Give me an entire kitchen full of cabinets to redo and distress, no problem but two little signs, not as good!I guess I need to keep practicing.
