It's amazing!


When we moved to Ohio, I purposely didn't want to get a gym membership. You see, I am not a runner. Never have been but I'm not going to say I never will be! So, I decided I didn't want to get a gym membership because after working out 5-6 days a week for 1 1/2 to 2 hours a day for the last 3 1/2 years, I knew that I wouldn't stop just because I didn't have the membership and it would force me to run. Now what is so amazing, is how fast our bodies can adapt to something new. I started running the end of August and on Sept. 27th I ran 3 miles non-stop which is the furthest I have ever gone without stopping (sad I know) but I was pretty proud of myself!! The next amazing thing is how fast your body can get out of shape if you stop exercising. After taking a brief hiatus from running for the last 3 months I have started again and i'm so sad to say that over the last week I have not even been able to make it up the street without stopping. I never thought that I would be so out of shape but I guess I chose it. Anyway, I'm back at it and maybe I'll even take Aprils challenge and run a marathon!!

There are so many great trails in the Cleveland area-- Zach and I really got into biking there. Running would be great there too once it gets warm-- the trails are lined with trees-- it is gorgeous. BTW, I can't run down the street without stopping either! :)

k, I think you guys should make a trip to Utah the end of April and do the SLC 1/2 marathon with us. Except maybe Brandon would waste us - we did that Bair Gutsman with him that one time and we only saw him at the beginning and at the end.

um, i'm pretty sure i can't keep up with any of you. I would love to come and try though, I will try to talk him into it.
