Please pass the Calgon...

What a week!!! Ali started with a fever on Monday...what day is it today??? Saturday!!! Fever's still here!!!! Poor girl has pretty much been in bed all week except she played with a couple of friends yesterday for a few hours when I thought she was better....i was wrong..she woke up at 5:30 this morning and the fever was back..I finally called the dr who said she needed to be seen. Off we went to the dr who told us she has an upper respritory infection but its just a virus so she can't give her anything for it..go home and "follow up with me on Monday..let me know if it gets worse." So this poor girl feels like $%#^ and then to top it off when Mitch was getting ready for his baseball game tonight, he kicked her in the head with his clete..OUCH!!! We were heading to the game a few minutes later and her nose started bleeding....was it from the kick in the head or the infection? I don't know!!! She had a bloody nose out of the blue yesterday..

I called the dr (actually the nurse)... "it sounds like she is ok just watch for symptoms and take her to the ER if she has any problems" 5 minutes later phone rings...nurse calls back...i've been thinking about it and I think she needs to be seen..take her to urgent care or the ER and have her checked.. Ali and I leave Mitchs game which hasn't started yet and get to the urgent care.. .. get there 5 minutes before it is going to close...fill out the paperwork...then the tell me the can't see her and we need to go to the ER in case she needs cat scans...all this time she is acting and feeling fine..the only concern was just that she got a bloody nose right after being kicked in the head.. now heading to the Hospital and I decided to pull over... I called the nurse back and told her I felt like Ali did not need to go the ER or get cat scans but could she please have our pediatrician call me back..our Dr. (who we love) called me back..."sound like she is ok just watch her and if she starts acting funny then take her to the ER, I don't know why the urgent care wouldn't see her)"{because they were closing in 5 minutes, i'm sure}... 10 minutes later...dr calls back...i've been thinking about this and want more information...... so we go through the whole thing again...kicked in the head, nose bleeding, acting fine, had a bloody nose yesterday......Watch her and I will call you back in a few hours to see how she's doing.......

Head back to Mitch's game sit there for maybe 10 minutes...game over...they loose by 1! Mitch gets teased for kicking his sister in the head. We missed the entire game for nothing!!!

Still waiting for the dr to call back.. in the mean time Ali's fever has come back...we are stressing out that her birthday party is going to come on Monday and she is still going to have a fever...is the party is going to get cancelled!!!!

I called my mom who just left yesterday...."are you ready to come back?" "if you really need me I can get on a flight in the morning".....yay for grandmas!!! Brandon is in Texas visiting Nick and Natalie...why do these things always happen when he is gone??!!! uuugggggg!!!!anxiety has kicked in!!!
