Ali's first gymnastics meet!!!

Ali competed in her first gymnastics meet this morning!!! We were so excited and so proud of her! She did AWESOME!! We couldn't believe how well she did for it being her first time. Her scores were...

Vault- 7.8 ~red ribbon
Bars- 8.85 ~ blue ribbon
Beam- 8.0~ red ribbon
Floor- 8.35~ red ribbon

Her all around score was 33 and I guess you only need a 32 to move up to the next level so that was great for her first meet!!!
She did have a few little mis-haps though. On her vault, nobody told her where she should start from so she started too close to the vault so even though her first vault was almost perfect, it didn't count.
She was doing awesome on beam and missed her foot at one point and fell off. She hurt her foot but got right back on and finished. She then had to do her floor routine on a hurt foot but she still did a great job!!!

Way to go Ali!!! We are so proud of you!!

Ali, I've heard references to gymnastics BUT DIDN'T REALLY KNOW YOU WERE DOING WHAT I JUST SAW. Way to go. That looked painful when you fell flat on your back. I would have stayed there. I loved how you jumped up and went at it again. Welcome to gymnastics. Love. Grandpa Brent
